INJURY SEVERITY INDEX

DESCRIPTION

ASI - Acceleration Severity Index

This is the severity index influenced by the acceleration the worker on a moving vehicle is exposed to during a collision. According to the UNI EN1317-1 standard, the ASI index provides a measure of the severity of vehicle motion for a person sitting near the vehicle’s own center of gravity. This parameter is a combination of the accelerations in the three x-y-z axes, to which the operator is exposed to in the event of a collision.

THIV - Theoretical Head Impact Velocity

It is a parameter that, according to the UNI EN1317-1 standard, measures the theoretical speed at which the passenger's head would hit the vehicle perimeter structure during a collision.
